Ia ilaha illALLAH: "And Carve Out Homes In the Mountains"

In the Name of Allah. The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

God Almighty says in the Holy Quran: For every news there is a fact, for everything there is an appointed term and (TIME) you will come to know. (6:67)

There Are Many Historical Miracles In the Qur'an As Allah Almighty Told Us About Some Historical Events Which . . .

There are many historical miracles in the Qur'an as Allah almighty told us about some historical events which were discovered lately and no one at the time of the descending of the Qur'an had got any knowledge about it. Allah almighty told us in the Qur'an about the civilization of "Thamud", the people of this civilization did transgress beyond bounds in the lands so that Allah almighty had destroyed them.

The main characteristic of this civilization is building houses in mountains as it was really an amazing technique of building in the Arab land, look at the following photos that demonstrate the remaining of this civilization:

The miracle in these photos is that the Qur'an told us about the people of "Thamud" in an accurate description and how they build these buildings.

Allah says about the people of "Thamud": (And to Thamud (people, we sent) their brother Salih. He said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilâh (God) but Him. (la ilaha illallah: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Indeed there has come to you a clear sign (the miracle of the coming out of a huge she-camel from the midst of a rock) from your Lord. This she-camel of Allah is a sign unto you; so you leave her to graze in Allah's earth, and touch her not with harm, lest a painful torment should seize you *And remember when He made you successors after ‘Ad (people) and gave you habitations in the land, you build for yourselves palaces in plains, and carve out homes in the mountains. So remember the graces (bestowed upon you) from Allah, and do not go about making mischief on the earth)" (Al-A‘raf- verse 73-74).

{ و } أرسلنا { إلى ثمود } بترك الصرف مرادا به القبيلة { أخاهم صالحا قال يا قوم اعبدوا الله ما لكم من إله غيره قد جاءتكم بيَّنة } معجزة { من ربكم } على صدقي { هذه ناقة الله لكم آية } حال عاملها معنى الإشارة وكانوا سألوه أن يخرجها لهم صخرة عينوها { فذروها تأكل في أرض الله ولا تمسوها بسوء } بعقر أو ضرب { فيأخذكم عذاب أليم } .

{ واذكروا إذ جعلكم خلفاء } في الأرض { من بعد عاد وبوَّأكم } أسكنكم { في الأرض تتَّخذون من سهولها قصورا } تسكنونها في الصيف { وتنحتون الجبال بيوتا } تسكنونها في الشتاء ونصبه على الحال المقدرة { فاذكروا آلاء الله ولا تعثوا في الأرض مفسدين } .

Also He almighty says in another verse: (Thamud (people) belied the Messengers (Surat Ash-Shu‘ara-verse 141-152).

Finally, we say that these texts are clear evidence that there is a historical miracle in the Qur'an.

{ كذبت ثمود المرسلين } .

Thamud denied the messengers

{ إذ قال لهم أخوهم صالح ألا تتقون } .

When their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not fear Allah ?

{ إني لكم رسول أمين } .

Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

{ فاتقوا الله وأطيعون } .

So fear Allah and obey me.

{ وما أسألكم عليه من أجر إن } ما { أجري إلا على رب العالمين } .

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

{ أتتركون في ما ههنا } من الخيرات { آمنين } .

Will you be left in what is here, secure [from death],

{ في جنات وعيون } .

Within gardens and springs

{ وزروع ونخل طلعها هضيم } لطيف لين .

And fields of crops and palm trees with softened fruit?

{ وتنحتون من الجبال بيوتا فرهين } بطرين وفي قراءة فارهين حاذقين .

And you carve out of the mountains, homes, with skill.

{ فاتقوا الله وأطيعون } فيما أمرتكم به .

So fear Allah and obey me.

{ ولا تطيعوا أمر المسرفين } .

And do not obey the order of the transgressors,

{ الذين يفسدون في الأرض } بالمعاصي { ولا يصلحون } بطاعة الله .

Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend."
